UN Approved Packaging
Performance tested packaging for dangerous goods
We stock and supply a wide range of tested packaging for the transport of dangerous goods which include fibreboard boxes, pallet packs and plywood cases. Chemical pulp bottle packaging is also available which are a clean and safe way to ship glass bottles in various sizes. Vermiculite is also available for cushioning inner packagings and works as a great absorbent for liquid chemicals.
UN Orange Coated Range
The UN licensed boxes comprise a Primary Range of nine boxes plus a secondary range of five boxes for less rigorous applications.
Both ranges of boxes is tested to cover many hazardous substances, liquid or solid and over a range of weights, and packed in a variety of inner packing media – glass, tins etc. to UN 4G and 4GV standards.

Fibrelok Drums
Fibrelok drums are a strong and versatile design and are suitable for packaging a wide range of products. Manufactured from Virgin Kraft paper, with a metal rolling chimb fitted to the top and base of the drum for additional strength. A full cover plastic lid allows the drums to interstack and is secured in place by a metal lever-closing ring, which has a tamper evident feature. All drums can be externally decorated with solid colours or printed logos, company and product information or hazardous warning details.
UN Certification
The majority of our fibre drum products are certified to UN regulations, with a number of standard certificates covering a wide range of applications. They can be tailored to your product-specific gravity/weight requirements and are available in capacities up to 200 litres.

Sliplid Drums
Slip lid drums are ideal for products that require quick and easy access and are suitable for packaging a wide range of products. Manufactured from Kraft or testliner, with a metal rolling chimb on the base of the drum for added strength. The drum can be supplied with either a fibre or plastic slip on lid (depending on diameter). All drums can be externally decorated with solid colours or printed logos, company and product information or hazardous warning details.

UN Approved Chemical Bottle Packs
For the safe and economical transportation of glass bottles containing chemicals and hazardous liquids. The packs are wet pressed on a state-of-the-art production process, which means a far higher quality pack.
- Easy to use packs comprising moulded pulp top and bottom cushion fitments which are placed inside UN approved outer cartons
- For the safe transportation and protection of glass bottles as the packs are UN approved for packing groups I, II & III
- Fittings and cases available separately for refurbishment of existing packs

UN Approved Plywood Cases
UN Approved Plywood Boxes are ideal for customers looking to ship hazardous goods in strong, rigid outer packaging. They can be used with your choice of suitable inners. They are also suitable for transporting Lithium Batteries.

Vermiculite Packing Material
This insulated packaging materials provides cushioning for delicate objects to prevent impact and shock during shipping and handling. It is pourable, which allows for packing around irregularly shaped items.
Exfoliated Vermiculite is Mega-Pak’s choice of absorbent and void fill material for the packaging of hazardous goods.
Its high absorbency and resistance to chemicals make it an excellent and safe cushioning material for the transport of dangerous goods.
